  • January 08 - Learning Agreement

What is it?

The Learning Agreement is an initiative from the Treasury led jointly
by the Learning and Skills Council and Connexions West Yorkshire.
It offers young people in work the opportunity to develop their workplace
skills and gain a qualification by providing funding for training.
The training which they receive will have practical relevance to your business.

Who is it for?

The Learning Agreement is available to 16-17 years olds who are in work
and are not receiving training towards a nationally recognised qualification.

How does it work?

A dedicated Keyworker will discuss an appropriate learning plan with
you and your employee. The plan will be tailored towards the
development of your employee's skills and the requirements of your
business. The Keyworker will continue to provide support until the
training has been completed.
